FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed method relates to preparation of liquid hydrocarbon fuel by electric means before its supply to combustion, by treatment in device with exposure to high-intensity inhomogeneous electric field. Fuel is treated in a device made with chamber 3, which is formed by housing 1 from electroconductive material and electrode 2 located in inner cavity of housing 1, coaxially to it. At that, housing 1 is made with possibility of connection to one of terminals 5 of electric power source 4, and electrode 2 with possibility of connection to the other of terminals 6 of source 4. Electric treatment is carried out from source 4 made in the form of high-voltage direct current source, creating potential, maximum as to voltage and eliminating interelectrode breakdown, corona and spark discharges. Negative potential of this source 4 is supplied to electrode 3, and positive 4 – to housing 1.
EFFECT: technical solution allows improving fuel quality and operating parameters and modes of the engine, simplifying the method implementation method.
