FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a light metal substrate coated with a sol-gel-hybrid material, in particular from uncoated or anodised aluminium, a method for production thereof, as well as to a coating composition used. Method involves liquid chemical deposition of a coating composition onto a light metal substrate and thermal curing of the coating composition. Coating composition contains a sol-gel material obtained from: A) one or more partially hydrolysed alkoxysilanes defined by formula (I), B) one or more metal alkoxides defined by formula (II), in combination with one or more complexing agents from group of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, C) one or more oligomeric or polymer polyols and D) optionally one or more blocked polyisocyanates.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain coating on anodised aluminium, particularly glossy anodized aluminium, or on aluminium substrates, which exhibits especially high resistance to alkalis at pH from 1 to 14.
