FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a multilayer coating on a metal substrate, comprising, in a given order, obtaining a layer of polyvinyl chloride plastisol on a metal substrate, comprising depositing polyvinyl chloride plastisol material on a metal substrate, obtaining a thermosetting and/or thermoplastic layer of a finishing coat directly on a layer of polyvinyl chloride plastisol, comprising applying a thermosetting and/or thermoplastic coating material directly onto a hardened layer of polyvinyl chloride plastisol, wherein both polyvinylchloride plastisol material and thermosetting and/or thermoplastic coating material contain layered double hydroxide, wherein at least one layered double hydroxide is hydrotalcite.
EFFECT: production of multilayer coatings using this method enables to obtain multilayer coatings on metal substrates which are characterized by excellent weather resistance in a wide range of climatic conditions, including having excellent corrosion resistance and resistance to solar radiation.
