SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent article which is divided in its longitudinal direction into an anterior main member which contacts a user's abdomen, a back main member which contacts a user's back, and a crotch area located between the front main element and the rear base element, and which includes an absorbent member extending from the front main member to the rear main member, as well as a plurality of extending in the direction of its width stretching elements provided in the longitudinal end area of the front main member and/or the rear main member, in which the absorbent member has grooves, wherein some of the grooves are present in longitudinal end areas of the absorbent element, wherein at least one of the stretchable elements is superimposed on at least one of the longitudinal end regions of the absorbent member on the side of the absorbent member that is not in contact with the skin, and in which stretching elements superimposed on lengthwise end area of absorbent element, at least part of grooves cross in longitudinal end area of absorbent element.

EFFECT: disclosed is an absorbent article capable of adapting to various motions of the main element in order to prevent leakage of the released liquid, which would eliminate discomfort caused by the stiffness of the absorbent element.
