SUBSTANCE: disposable diaper of the present invention comprises: an absorbent member; a non-skin surface sheet located on a non-skin side of the absorbent member; and an outer surface sheet located on the non-skin side of the non-skin surface sheet, where: the disposable diaper includes a front portion to be located on the front of the wearer in a disposable diaper wearing state, a crotch portion to be located in the crotch of the wearer, and a rear portion to be located on the back of the wearer. The absorbent body includes a low basis weight portion at any position from the crotch portion to the rear portion where the low basis weight portion has a relatively lower basis weight than other absorbent body sections. In the disposable diaper, the outer surface sheet and the skin-side sheet of the outer surface sheet are bonded with an adhesive, and thereby a plurality of bonded portions are formed that stretch in the longitudinal direction of the diaper. The plurality of joined portions are located in an area overlapping the low basis weight portion. In this region, the basis weight of the adhesive in the side regions located respectively in both side regions in the transverse direction of the diaper is higher than the basis weight of the adhesive in the central region located in the central region in the transverse direction.
