FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of various structural construction articles using man-made wastes: silica and chamotte scrap, as well as cheap mineral raw material – sand. Method includes preparation of silica-containing binder with module 1–3.3 and density of 1.25–1.35 g/cm³ from wastes of silica refractory, ground to grain size of not more than 0.14 mm, by their treatment with 17 % sodium hydroxide solution from calculating S:L=1:1.5–6 pts. wt., followed by heat treatment of the obtained mixture for not more than 8 hours at temperature of 100 °C with periodic stirring. Unreacted residue is separated by centrifugation or decantation. As filler in production of molding mass there used is sand or refractories waste – chamotte with grain size of not more than 0.14 mm. Articles are formed by means of slip casting. Then it is dried at temperature of 50 °C for 2–24 hours and heat treatment at temperature of 150–700 °C for not more than 6 hours.

EFFECT: reduced technological complexity of the method and its power inputs, obtaining articles with high strength properties, wear resistance.
