FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing ferrite powders to be used in radio electronics as radio radiation absorbing coatings. Initial BaO2, Fe2O3, CoO, ZnO and Fe powders are dried and mechanically mixed. Produced mix is thermally treated by combustion. Then mechanical activation is performed at energy-intensivity factor of 40 to 60 g for 10 to 40 min and sintered at 1230-1250°C for 60-240 min. Produced material comprises 96 to 98 vol. % of W-phase and features increased magnetic characteristics and uniform magnetic properties.
EFFECT: increased uniformity of composition and magnetic properties of hexagonal ferrimagnet.
