FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing MoS2 nanoparticles on TiO2 support in which production is carried out by reductive coprecipitation using aqueous solutions containing Ti and Mo precursor salts, wherein salts of Ti and Mo precursors are TiCl3 and (NH4)2MoS4 respectively, wherein production is carried out in one step directly from a solution of corresponding metal salts of TiCl3 and (NH4)2MoS4, wherein the preparation is carried out in acidic conditions at pH in range of 3 to 4 and during the production process, a chelating agent selected from EDTA or citric acid is added, and in which MoS2 can be non-promoted or promoted Co. Also disclosed is a method of MoS2 nanoparticles on TiO2 support in which the preparation is carried out in two steps from TiO2-x support precursor dispersion in (NH4)2MoS4 solution, wherein TiO2-x support precursor is prepared before introduction of (NH4)2MoS4 salt. Invention also relates to use of said nanoparticles as hydrodesulphurization catalysts.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining nanoparticles of MoS2 on a titanium dioxide support, which provide improved selectivity when used as hydrodesulphurization catalysts.
