FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of a precursor based on titanium dioxide for catalytically active coating on an inert carrier containing nano-sized metal particles of palladium. Colloidal solution of a siloxane-acrylate emulsion, while stirring, is mixed with a solution of tetrachloropalladic acid H2PdCl4 and under constant stirring are heated at a temperature of 75-80°C. Resulting solution is cooled followed by reduction of palladium from ionic form to metal in form of nanoparticles by adding a reducing solution of titanium(III) chloride in hydrochloric acid, followed by stirring resulting colloidal solution for a time sufficient for complete hydrolysis and polycondensation to form hydrated titanium dioxide TiO2·nH2O.
EFFECT: obtaining thermally stable oxide coating containing palladium nanoparticles, using said precursor.
