SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing foamed sand to form a sand mold. Foamed sand contains sand particles and foam adhering to sand particles surfaces. Foam contains soluble glass, water and a surfactant. Aqueous solution of surfactant, in which the surfactant is dissolved, is foamed to obtain foam from the aqueous solution of the surfactant. Then produced foam, soluble glass and water are mixed with sand consisting of sand particles.

EFFECT: result is shorter mixing time.
