FIELD: light industry.

SUBSTANCE: umbrella has telescopic rod with arm at one end and head at other end. Rod has stirrup adapted for longitudinal displacement and foldable carcass formed from foldable spokes, each composed of sections. Penultimate section has lower flexible wire tie-rod and upper flexible wire tie-rod mounted for forced bending with convex portion being oriented upward, when umbrella is opened. Terminating section is made in the form of end wire rod. Additional section is provided between section proximate to telescopic rod and penultimate section and positioned for maximal turning relative to section proximal to telescopic rod through angle smaller than 180 deg, when umbrella is opened.

EFFECT: increased rigidity of umbrella construction, improved strength and enhanced reliability in operation.
