FIELD: light industry.

SUBSTANCE: umbrella has telescopic rod with handle and head, strap, canopy defined by pins, each comprising section proximate telescopic rod, middle section and peripheral section. Main elongated and additional levers of section proximate telescopic rod are connected in cross-like manner. Part of additional lever arranged at side of pivot joint opposite telescopic rod has smaller length than respective part of main elongated lever. Elongated tie-rod is attached to end of said part of additional lever. Shortened tie-rod is attached to other end of elongated tie-rod; opposite end of shortened tie-rod is connected to main elongated lever to define first-stage parallelogram mechanism. Lower resilient wire tie-rod of middle section is connected to elongated tie-rod at site of connection with shortened tie-rod and upper resilient wire tie-rod of middle section is connected to shortened tie-rod at the side adjoining to main elongated lever.

EFFECT: simplified construction, reduced length and increased rigidity and strength of carcass, enhanced reliability in operation and convenient use.
