FIELD: power supply.

SUBSTANCE: described is a method of controlling power supply of a system for electrical heating of switch units, in which in heating mode cyclically following successive times (Zt) are obtained, for each time (Zt) of the cycle, a power ratio (L) is obtained according to the number of switched on and off heating taps (6), these heating taps (6) are activated in the circulating stepwise mode, according to which the active ratio (La) is performed as to power, at the same time the temperature (X) of the rail and/or control of deviation xwn of the controlled value on arrow (12), at weather-stipulated requirement (Hz) of heating for arrow (12) theoretical heating time is calculated to achieve specified target temperature (XS) of arrow (12), at that, when parametrized time (tauf) of heating is exceeded, active ratio (La) as to power is increased, at that, after and/or before each time (Zt) of cycle, each temperature (X) of arrow (12) is compared to predetermined preset temperature (XS) of rail, wherein at analysis of said comparison distribution of switched on and off heating taps 6 is changed. At that, heating taps 6 with excessive heating are switched off for every time (Zt) of cycle in favour of heating taps (6) with deficit of heating.

EFFECT: providing optimum use of energy during heating of separate switches in electric heating system of switches at simultaneous operation of all switches.
