FIELD: production of composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articles made from composite material containing reinforcing material based on fabric, dry or pre-impregnated in matrix of synthetic resin. Method of making the ring window frame made from composite material involves the following stages: putting on at least one tubular sleeve from dry fibers on the assembly unit consisting of at least two coaxial subunits, which are made with possibility of displacement relative to each other in the axial direction and between which the circumferential groove is set, lying in common plane of said frame; wherein plane of symmetry of said groove is perpendicular to said tubular sleeve; part of tubular sleeve is pressed into said groove provided between two subunits, and tightening said two subunits to retain said portion of tubular sleeve in said groove; bringing together of two parts of sleeve, extending beyond groove, and bending obtained connection to one of two subunits to produce preformed blank of dry fibers; Curing said preformed workpiece by spraying or injecting resin, followed by creating a special temperature and baric mode, which enables to polymerise said resin.

EFFECT: invention provides window frame with high strength and rigidity, as well as maintaining ideal seal between inner side and outer side of fuselage of aircraft.
