FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Disclosed is a computer-implemented method for encrypting data for subsequent confidential transmission of said encrypted data in a LPWAN network, comprising the steps of: transmitting information presented in the form of a data packet, wherein the packet consists of several types of data: control information and user data, from the first user subscriber station to the server; processing on the server the transmitted information by splitting data at the application level into blocks of 8 bytes, which will be a payload, and encrypting them, and user data with size of 64 bits are encrypted by symmetric block encryption mode; sending encrypted information over a radio link to a base station (BS); base station packs the received data in encrypted form into a channel level packet, transmits to a physical layer and broadcasts over the network back to the server; on the server, the received encrypted data are validated by calculating and verifying the message integrity code and decrypting said data packet on the lower application layer by extracting a payload from the packet, accumulating and converting to data for providing end-user access to said data; in decrypted form, but on protected transmission channel, decrypted information is sent to end user.

EFFECT: technical result is ensuring confidentiality and integrity of data when transmitting data in Low-power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) networks.
