FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst, a method of producing a catalyst and use thereof in reforming. Reforming catalyst contains a substrate, at least one noble metal M, the content of which ranges from 0.02 to 2 wt % of catalyst weight, tin, phosphorus and cerium. Content of the element phosphorus ranges from 0.4 to 1 wt % of catalyst weight, and content of cerium ranges from 0.01 to 0.5 wt % of catalyst weight. Method of producing a reforming catalyst involves successive steps: a) preparing a substrate containing tin, phosphorus and a noble metal, b) drying the precursor obtained at step a) in a stream of neutral gas or in a gas stream containing oxygen at temperature below 200 °C and annealing at 350 to 650 °C, c) impregnation of dry calcined precursor obtained at step b), impregnating solution containing cerium precursor, d) drying the precursor obtained at step c) in a stream of neutral gas or in a stream of gas containing oxygen at temperature below 200 °C and annealing at temperature of 350–650 °C.
EFFECT: catalyst has improved selectivity and stability during reforming without deterioration of its activity.
