FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for reforming hydrocarbon material containing n-paraffin, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons with 5–12 carbon atoms per molecule, in fixed layer at temperature from 400 to 700 °C, pressure from 0.1 to 4 MPa and mass flow rate of treated raw material per unit weight of catalyst per hour from 0.1 to 10 h-1, by bringing said raw material into contact with a catalyst containing at least platinum, at least one promoter metal selected from the group consisting of rhenium and iridium, at least one halogen selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine, and a porous alumina substrate in the form of an extrudate, characterized by length l from 1 to 10 mm and a cross-section containing four lobes, wherein the largest diameter D of the cross section of said extrudate ranges from 1.1 to 2.2 mm.
EFFECT: good characteristics of the catalyst with respect to activity and stability and high selectivity of the reaction.
