FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment in machine building and can be used to determine position of center of gravity of solid article by hanging by means of lifting device. Method consists in double suspension of article with different spatial orientation and use of additional movable suspension in form of cross bar, wherein in a raised state, the measurement system receives an equilibrium state by a joint inclination of the suspension and article, then mathematically calculating coordinates of XC, YC, ZC of center of gravity of article depending on parameters of position and mass-geometric parameters of elements of measuring system in equilibrium conditions, provided by pairwise change of length of lines between suspension.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of determining the position of center of gravity of massive articles and wider field of use of method with possibility of using universal loading equipment and lifting devices.
