SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in optical communication systems. Method comprises: receiving a bandwidth request sent by each optical network unit ONU, wherein the ONU includes an ONU1 unit; generating a BWMap bandwidth map message in accordance with the bandwidth requested by the ONU and bandwidth configurable by the ONU, wherein BWMap message includes first Alloc-ID1 allocation identifier, first time corresponding to Alloc-ID1 identifier, second Alloc-ID2 allocation identifier and a second time corresponding to the Alloc-ID2 identifier, and both the Alloc-ID1 and Alloc-ID2 identifiers are allocated to the ONU1 for use; and sending a BWMap message to each ONU.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of communication quality due to increased speed of data transmission and efficiency of data transmission.
