METHOD FOR MODELING HAEMORRHAGIC STROKE IN RATS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2721289 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental neurology. A hole is made in the skull of a laboratory animal in the area of an internal capsule of any hemisphere. A puncture needle is inserted according to stereotaxic coordinates at depth of 3 mm. Vessels and cerebral tissue are decomposed by rotary motions of mandrel-knife in clockwise direction and three turns counterclockwise. Autologous venous blood is jet injected in amount of 0.11 ml/100 g of animal's body weight.

EFFECT: method enables simulating hemorrhagic stroke irrespective of various parameters of animals with high repeatability, the most approximate to the human model.
