METHOD OF TREATING NEUROGENIC BLADDER DYSFUNCTION MANIFESTED BY FUNCTIONAL INFRAVESICAL OBSTRUCTION IN FEMALES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B1/307 A61M5/32 A61K33/14 A61K39/08 A61P13/10

Abstract RU 2721300 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and urology, and can be used for treating neurogenic bladder dysfunction manifested by functional infravesical obstruction in females. An endoscopic needle is used to manipulate the urethrocystoscope channel. Using the syringe connected to the endoinjector, 100 units of botulinum toxin type A diluted in 8 ml of normal saline 0.9 % NaCl are introduced into the zone of the external sphincter muscle of urethra at depth of 1–3 mm at 8 equidistant points: 4 injections into the distal portion of the spasmodic sphincter of urethra and 4 injections into the proximal zone of the external sphincter muscle of urethra without forming an aqueous papule.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the length of treatment with minimizing possible risks and complications of treatment by prolonging the effective action of the administered preparation, avoiding prolonged drainage of the lower urinary tract, reducing the risk of developing lower urinary tract infections.
