FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: system for improving visibility by suppressing bright light comprises glasses comprising an eyeglass lens; comprising liquid crystal cell (LC), transmission (TR) of which can switch between high and low transmission; as well as a device for controlling or controlling high-transmission state durations (Ton); at least one sensor (IL, IR) for measuring brightness of visible light, located on a spectacle lens on the side of the eye and measuring brightness through said eyeglass lens; as well as a feedback control circuit (MC) for controlling transmission of a liquid crystal cell (LC). Duration of high-transmission state (Ton) becomes shorter with increase in bright light. Control circuit uses the brightness measured by the sensor as the current value. System comprises a display having a facility for controlling illumination duration and light intensity of the display. Time integral of the product of the light intensity of the display and transmission (TR) of the liquid crystal cell (LC) remains constant within a predetermined tolerance after changing the durations of the high transmission state (Ton).
EFFECT: technical result is improved visibility for owner of glasses in different conditions.
