FIELD: electronic glasses.

SUBSTANCE: system for enhancing the spatial sensation of an object contains glasses for the owner having right (E(R)) and left (E(L)) eye, containing one spectacle lens in front of each eye, each spectacle lens contains a liquid crystal cell (LC(L), LC(R)), the transmittance of which can be changed by the control means, where the liquid crystal cells (LC(L), LC(R)) are configured such that the transmittance (TR) of the liquid crystal cells can be switched between high and low transmittance states, respectively; means for controlling or regulating the duration of high transmittance states (Ton) of liquid crystal cells (LC(L), LC(R)); two light sources (S1(L), S1(R)), each corresponding to one eye, where the stereoscopic basis (DS1) of the light sources is greater than the distance (PD) between the pupils; and means for controlling or adjusting the illumination durations of the light sources (S1(L), S1(R)) in such a way that the light source (S1(R)) corresponding to the right eye (E(R)) shines during the high transmittance state (Ton) of the liquid crystal cell (LC(R)) of the right eye, while the light source (S1(L)) corresponding to the left eye (E(L)) does not shine, and the liquid crystal cell (LC(L)) of the left eye is tuned for low transmission; and vice versa.

EFFECT: enhanced contrast or outlines of objects during the day or at dusk.
