FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic glasses and a system for suppressing bright light. System comprises: glasses for an owner having at least one eye, comprising at least one eyeglass lens, wherein said at least one eyeglass lens comprises a liquid crystal cell (LC), the transmission of which can be varied by an appropriate control means. Liquid crystal cell (LC) is designed so that the transmission (TR) of the liquid crystal cell (LC) can switch between high-transmission and low-transmission states. System also includes at least one sensor (IL, IR) for measuring brightness of visible light falling on said at least one sensor, feedback control circuit (MC) for controlling transmission of liquid crystal cell (LC), wherein preset value for luminance on eyeglasses eye is predetermined, and light source (S), comprising light duration and light intensity control means of light source (S) so that it shines during high-transmission state (Ton) of liquid crystal cell (LC). Control circuit receives brightness measured by said at least one sensor (IL, IR) as current value, wherein the adjustment or control means is configured such that the high-transmission state (Ton) duration becomes shorter as the bright light increases. Time integral of the light intensity and transmission (TR) of the liquid crystal cell (LC) product remains constant within a predetermined tolerance after changing the durations of the high transmission state (Ton); and said at least one sensor (IL, IR) measures brightness of visible light falling on it, exclusively during low-transmission state (Toff).
EFFECT: system provides higher efficiency in suppressing bright light.
