FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in orthodontics for correction of tooth-craniofacial apparatus. Orthodontic elastic device for correction of tooth-craniofacial apparatus comprises at least a pair of vestibular flanges, covering teeth of upper and lower jaws and gums on upper cheek and lower jaw side, at least a pair of mandibular flanges, closing palatine and tongue surfaces of upper and lower jaw teeth and having a steep inclined plane extending from the rear edge of the base of the incisors to the lower anterior teeth and configured to stimulate the tongue on the palate, at least an occlusal plane connecting said flanges, and concave and empty volumes limited by vestibular and lingual-palatal flanges and an occlusal plane. Device also includes protrusions made on each edge of rear part of upper palate-tongue flange and used as reference points, intended to indicate position of device relative to patient's arc, in accordance with position of molars, and first and second guide grooves, arranged with possibility of detachable connections between them on lateral back part of upper surface of occlusion plane, first guide groove is located in angle between occlusal plane and vestibular flanges, and second groove is located in angle between occlusal plane and tongue flanges. Device comprises a concave area for unloading the posterior palatal incisive papilla of the palate and located in the upper lingual-palatal flange, and an occlusion guide, which is an alignment means for aligning the upper teeth with the lower teeth.
EFFECT: invention allows to stimulate growth of condyle area for correction of occlusion abnormality, and then to change load on nerve fibers and subsequently regenerate muscular system.
