FIELD: medicine, orthodontics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the treatment of children with acute trauma of the upper incisors with distal occlusion and protrusion of the upper incisors during the formation of the dentition for harmonious growth and development of the maxillofacial region. The treatment is carried out in several stages. At the first stage of treatment, for the manufacture of an orthodontic appliance, impressions are taken from the teeth of the upper and lower jaws, after which, at the time of manufacture of the orthodontic appliance, occlusion is separated using fixed occlusal overlays made of composite material on the first permanent molars of the lower jaw with simultaneous splinting of the damaged teeth with adjacent teeth with a passive, individually preformed orthodontic flex-arc and a composite material from the vestibular surface of the teeth. At the second stage, the occlusal overlays are ground off the teeth of the lower jaw and the non-removable flex-arc is removed from the vestibular surface of the teeth of the upper jaw, then the dissociation is transferred to the anterior section by installing an orthodontic apparatus made according to previously obtained impressions of the dentition, including a plate on the upper jaw with a bite pad, a vestibular arch, a screw along the midline and retaining elements — Adams clasps, a removable plate is adapted along the dentition, the basis and retaining elements are corrected, while the vestibular arch is corrected to fit to the upper incisors passively without any pressure. At the third stage, orthodontic treatment is started by activating the screw in the transversal direction by 0.1 mm per week, repeating the procedure every 7 days for 3 months.
EFFECT: due to splinting with simultaneous bite separation, the method allows to eliminate the occlusal load on damaged teeth, stabilize the position of damaged teeth, provide conditions for harmonious growth and development of the maxillofacial region during the formation of the dentoalveolar system in children.
