METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF PERIPHERAL ANGIODYSTONIC SYNDROME OF UPPER EXTREMITIES OF OCCUPATIONAL AETIOLOGY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B8/06 A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2721886 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics, neurology and occupational pathology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of peripheral angiodystonic syndrome of upper extremities of occupational aetiology. An ultrasonic examination of ulnar and radial arteries of the upper extremities is performed. Pulse velocity of the blood flow along the ulnar and radial arteries in the distal one-third of the forearm is determined and when the pulse velocity of the blood flow along the ulnar artery is increased in comparison with the norm and the normal pulse velocity of the blood flow along the radial artery, a professional polyneuropathy of the upper extremities is diagnosed. If the pulse blood velocity decreases as compared to the norm along the ulnar artery and the normal pulse velocity of the blood flow on the radial artery, a degree I hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) associated with exposure to local vibration is diagnosed. If the pulse blood flow rate decreases as compared to the norm on the ulnar and radial arteries, a second-degree HAVS associated with the exposure to local vibration is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables differential diagnostics of HAVS associated with exposure to local vibration, with determining the stage of the disease, and occupational upper extremity polyneuropathy caused by physical overload.
