FIELD: membrane technologies.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to self-organizing nanostructures, including polyethylenimine (PEI) and aquaporin water channel solubilized with detergent, and to their application for obtaining a separation membrane and a hollow fiber (HF) module for filtration. The self-organizing nanostructure contains polyethylenimine (PEI), with an average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000 Da, and an aquaporin water channel solubilized with a detergent selected from lauryldimethylamine N-oxide(LDAO), n-octyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (OG), n-dodecyl-β-D-maltopyranoside (DDM), or a combination thereof. The separation membrane for filtration contains a supporting substrate with a thin-film composite layer of cross-linked aromatic polyamide, in which the specified self-organizing nanostructure is immobilized. A method for obtaining a separation membrane involves adding an aqueous liquid composition containing the specified self-organizing nanostructure to a supporting substrate during the production of a thin-film composite layer of cross-linked aromatic polyamide. The hollow fiber (HF) filtration module has fibers modified with a selective layer containing a thin-film composite (TFC) layer of cross-linked aromatic polyamide, in which said self-organizing nanostructures are immobilized.
EFFECT: inventions provide self-organizing nanostructures stable in a liquid composition that can be immobilized or incorporated into an active or selective layer during the membrane manufacturing process, such as during interphase polymerization to form a TFC layer.
