SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the cyclic fuel supply of a high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) in a diesel engine. Method for determining the cyclic fuel supply in a diesel engine is that in the regime of free acceleration and stationary mode of the engine, the cyclic fuel supply through the injection pump sections is determined by the phase shift between the pulses, characterizing the movement of the high-pressure fuel-line casing at the injection pump outlet and in front of the injector at the engine speed of the crankshaft, differing by not more than 1% of the preset. Device for carrying out the method is provided with reference frequency determiner 3 connected in series, electronic key 4, correlation meter 1, cyclic fuel supply determiner 2 in the fuel pump and engine sections and setpoint generator 5, connected to the second input of cyclic fuel supply determiner 2 along the fuel pump and engine sections.

EFFECT: technical result is the simplification and reduction of the labor intensity of the measurement due to the absence of assortment-assembly operations.
