FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pediatric neurology, and can be used to predict convulsions in term infants in the late neonatal period. TNF-alpha and MMP-3 are measured in blood serum in term infants in the early neonatal period. If the TNF-alpha concentration is 69.3 pg/ml and higher, and MMP-3 is 101.4 pg/ml and higher, neonatal seizures in the late neonatal period are predicted.
EFFECT: invention enables accurate and reliable prediction of neonatal convulsions in newborns with perinatal hypoxic-ischemic CNS involvement.
