FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnics, in particular to pyrotechnic compositions based on metal nitrates, which are intended for formation of coloured fire during combustion from chemical interaction of several solid substances, and is intended to form the main signal red light, installed for military, rescuers, tourists, hunters, and so forth. Pyrotechnic composition of red fire contains strontium nitrate, powder of metallic fuel, colour enhancer - chloroparaffin CP-66T and organic combustible binder - solution of iditol, wherein metallic propellant used is powder of aluminium-magnesium alloy, oxidizer is added with potassium chloride and strontium carbonate, organic combustible binder is in form of 50 % solution of phenol-formaldehyde resin SF-342 in ethanol and additionally calcium stearate is added.
EFFECT: disclosed technical solution provides improved technological effectiveness of preparing composition by mixing and moulding therefrom charges which burn with bright flame of red saturated colour, clearly visible and distinguishable at distance.
