FIELD: test technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing for study of properties of a sample under the action of flat shock waves, specifically to a plane wave loading device, which can be used in a variety of gas-dynamic studies carried out in scientific institutions. In particular, it can be used for investigation of metal dispersion processes at output of non-stationary shock wave to free surface using wide range of recording techniques. Device includes an initiation source, initiator and main charge of explosive. On the loaded surface of the main charge of the explosive there is a layer of plastic explosive, and the initiating device is made as two-cascade. Each cascade contains accelerated by its layer of plastic explosive foil, wherein layer with foil of upper cascade is installed at angle α to loaded surface of the second cascade with possibility of initiation in mode of sliding detonation installed on the side of raised end by means of initiation. Layer with foil of the second cascade is installed at an angle β to the loaded surface of the main charge of explosive with the possibility of initiation in the mode of sliding detonation. Corners α and β are chosen from the condition of simultaneity of approach to the exposed surfaces.

EFFECT: reduction of heterodynamic loading at reduction of used amount of explosive substance.
