FIELD: material testing.

SUBSTANCE: experiments to study the properties of materials under the influence of plane shock waves, specifically to a plane-wave loading device, which can be used in gas-dynamic studies conducted in scientific institutes. The plane-wave loading device includes the main explosive charge with a layer of plastic explosive placed on its loaded surface, and an initiation source. The initiating means includes an inert substrate with a layer of plastic explosive, consisting of a section that receives a detonation pulse, passing along the end of the substrate, and a section connected to it, dispersing the foil adjacent to it, installed with respect to the loaded surface at an angle selected from conditions for simultaneous approach and initiation in the sliding detonation mode. The initiating means is made single-stage in the form of a composite substrate with an internal cavity in which a damping insert is placed with the formation of a gap between it and the lower part of the substrate. The end face of the substrate with the section of the plastic explosive receiving the detonation pulse is made along a cylindrical surface. On the outer surface of the upper part of the substrate, a layer of plastic explosive is additionally placed in the form of a sector emanating from the source of initiation to the connection with the section of the layer receiving the detonation pulse.

EFFECT: increased stability of work by reducing the time difference and dynamism.
