FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to measurement equipment, particularly to vernier calipers intended for measurement of external and internal dimensions of parts of "shaft" or "hole" type, as well as external and internal dimensions of parts of another shape. Claimed vernier caliper two-sided consists of a bar with a main scale, a frame with a vernier scale mounted to move along the rod, two jaws and a device for fine installation of the frame. At that, the said vernier calipers are additionally equipped with two elastic elements installed in the vernier caliper with the possibility of their selection from the set of elastic elements of a certain length and characteristics in accordance with the range of measured sizes and conditions, whether these dimensions are external or internal, wherein one of the resilient elements is located on the back side of the vernier caliper in parallel to the axis of the rod and provides a force closure between the bar and the vernier scale frame, and second resilient element is located between jaws for measurement of external or internal dimensions with possibility of providing power closure between said jaws.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of measurement accuracy of both external and internal dimensions due to stabilization of measuring force, as well as in increased efficiency of measurement process.
