SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to kinetic inhibitors of gas hydrates and can be used in treatment of underground formation during gas production, gas treatment, transportation and storage. Gas hydrate kinetic inhibitor contains a vinylcaprolactam homopolymer or a vinylcaprolactam copolymer with a vinyl-containing monomer, obtained by polymerising a vinylcaprolactam compound in a polymerisation solvent system containing alkylene carbonate and/or alkyl lactate and a polymerisation initiator. Gas hydrate kinetic inhibitor contains a N-vinylcaprolactam homopolymer or a vinylcaprolactam copolymer with a vinyl-containing monomer, in a mixture with a polymerisation solvent system containing alkylene carbonate and/or alkyl lactate. Method of producing a kinetic inhibitor of a gas hydrate in a polymerisation medium involves a step for polymerisation of vinylcaprolactam in a polymerisation solvent system, containing alkylene carbonate and/or alkyl lactate and a polymerisation initiator. Method of inhibiting the formation of natural gas hydrates and/or liquid hydrocarbons in a system comprising adding to said system a gas hydrate inhibitor. Chemical products of fine organic synthesis include the above kinetic inhibitor of gas hydrate. Composition of kinetic inhibitor of gas hydrate contains said kinetic inhibitor of gas hydrate.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of inhibiting gas hydrate.
