SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of inhibition of formation of clathrate-hydrates in liquid containing hydrate-forming components with an inhibitor which has good water-soluble polymer. The latter is a polymer of molecular mass 1 000- -6 000 000 Da and consisting of the main polymeric chain which has at least two by-side group. The first group has two atoms, not less, taken among the group: carbon, nitrogen and oxygen and the second group is C₁-C₃-alkyl.
