FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of image formation and concerns a method for stereo calibration of different-spectral cameras with small angular cross-section of fields of vision. Method includes shooting of test objects from different aspect angles. Images are inverted, special points are found on images, their coordinates with sub-pixel accuracy are estimated. Obtained data are used to estimate matrixes of internal parameters of different-spectral cameras, vectors of coefficients of lens distortion and matrix of external parameters. Stereo calibration is performed in two stages. At first, test object of planar type is used, which provides formation of contrast image of "chess field" or "point field" type in different spectral ranges for independent estimation only matrix of internal parameters and lens distortion coefficients of each camera. At the second step, a test object with spherical reference radiators is used, the length of which is at least an order greater than its width and height, and only matrixes of external parameters of the cameras are evaluated using it.
EFFECT: technical result is higher calibration accuracy of wide-angle cameras with small angular cross-section of fields of view.
