FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-shielding materials and can be used in aircraft and rocket engineering. Heat-insulating material based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber is made from discrete aramid fibre introduced into the rubber mixture based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber in amount of 5–20 pts.wt. with subsequent vulcanisation.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing heat protection material heating rate under conditions of high temperature effect, improving heat-shielding characteristics.
