FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-shield materials based on ethylene-propylene diene rubbers, which can be used in aircraft and rocket production. Heat-shielding material contains SKEPT-40 (EPDM triple) ethylene-propylene diene rubber, vulcanizing agents – sulfur and tiuram D, vulcanization accelerator 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, vulcanization activators – zinc oxide and stearin, white carbon and kaolin fibers, which have been previously coated with a phosphorous-containing TSF oligomer in an amount of 3.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber. Moreover, the phosphorus-containing oligomer of the TCF is preliminarily applied to kaolin fibers in the form of a 5 % by weight aqueous solution by thermostating at 100 °C.
EFFECT: resulting heat-shielding material has increased strength and increased duration of heat-shielding efficiency.
