FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods, system and non-temporary media for identification of geometric clones in simulation system for simulation of product component. Method comprises: selecting a geometric pattern and generating and storing a template map; generating a template map comprises examining the edges and patterns of the pattern or edges and faces of the pattern in series from the initial point of the pattern, to detect other edges and tops of template or other edges and faces of template, before returning to initial point of template or reaching branch in template, identification of geometric candidate form; examining an identified geometric candidate form; generating a map of the analyzed geometric candidate form; comparing the card of the analyzed geometric candidate mold with the template card and marking the candidate geometric shape as a clone, if it coincides with predetermined part of template, and application of modification to template and to geometrical form-candidate.
EFFECT: technical result consists in automation of determination of similar elements and their association for subsequent similar processing.
