FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves building initial contour graph around electrocardiographic curve. A system of predicate formulas for recognizing electrocardiogram elements is to be built on graph elements. Element shapes, their relative positions and signal structure as a whole are determined from particular subgraph structure. Each curve under consideration is assigned to one of classes as a result of the procedure and a disease is identified. Code for describing electrocardiosignal is formed to apply a set of differential diagnosis rules for identifying myocardial infarction and its complications. The rules are based on structural description of electrocardiogram element form and the signal as a whole. A set of rules for analyzing electrocardiogram contour in special purpose patient database is implemented and corresponding diagnosis conclusion adjustment is carried out.
