METHOD OF PRODUCING A MIXTURE OF AN ALKALI METAL SALT OF METHYLGLYCINE DIACETIC ACID AND AN ALKALI METAL SALT OF GLUTAMIC DIACETIC ACID, A MIXTURE OF L- AND D-ENANTIOMERS OF SAID SALTS AND AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF SAID MIXTURE FOR PRODUCING DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS FOR WASHING AND CLEANING Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC C07C229/16 C07C229/24 C11D3/33

Abstract RU 2722803 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a mixture of L- and D-enantiomers of mono-, di- or trisodium alkali metal methylglycine diacetic acid (MGDA) or mixtures thereof, containing preferentially corresponding L-isomer with enantiomeric excess (ei) in range from 25 to 96 % and L- and D-enantiomers of mono-, di-, tri- or tetrasoles of alkaline metal of glutamic diacetic acid (GLDA) or their mixtures. Method comprises dissolving alanine in its water in its L-enantiomer form or its corresponding monosali alkali metal or mixtures thereof and glutamic acid in form of L- or D-enantiomer or its corresponding mono- or disulant of alkali metal or mixtures thereof, where molar ratio of alanine to glutamic acid ranges from 4:6 to 6:4, conversion of the obtained mixture with formaldehyde and cyanic acid or cyanide of an alkali metal to corresponding dinitriles, saponification of the obtained dinitriles. Invention also relates to a mixture of L- and D-enantiomers of mono-, di- or trisodium alkali metal MGDA or mixtures thereof, containing predominantly corresponding L-isomer with enantiomeric excess (ei) in range of 25 to 96 %, and L- and D-enantiomers of alkali metal mono-, di-, tri- or tetrasoles of GLDA or mixtures thereof, wherein the molar ratio of the MGDA salt to the GLDA salt ranges from 4:6 to 6:4. Said mixture and its aqueous solution, having a solids content in range of 40 to 70 wt %, are used to produce detergent compositions for washing and detergent compositions for cleaning.

EFFECT: mixtures and their solutions exhibit low tendency to coloring, yellowing during storage, demonstrate improved behavior to bleaching agents and to strong bases.
