SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in communication systems over optical fibers of cable lines with low-speed data transmission. In a method for simplex communication through optical fiber of a cable line, comprising the steps of: introducing optical radiation from a coherent optical radiation source into an optical fiber of an optical fiber cable, exposed through fiber-optic cable to optical fiber at local section of cable line with acousto-vibration signal from transmitter, optical radiation is modulated with acousto-vibration signal, and at the far end the modulated optical radiation is received by the photodetector, by means of which the transmitted signal is selected, wherein the acoustic vibration signal with the carrier is applied.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expanded field of application.
