FIELD: metrology.
SUBSTANCE: method of measuring the reflection coefficient of sound from a sample of material involves irradiating a sample with a traveling spherical sound wave, recording the interference signal of the irradiating and reflected sound wave by the hydrophone, and changing the frequency of the irradiating signal. At that, the reference direction of incidence on the sample of the flat sound wave is set, based on the arrangement of the emitter, receiver and the analyzed sample in the experiment, setting the irradiation signal frequency variation interval required to observe the interference signal maximum and minimum; based on the sample size and the irradiation signal frequency variation interval, determining the step size, the number of elements and the coordinates of the flat array nodes oriented along the normal to the given reference direction; maintaining the hydrophone position invariability, emitter is successively installed in grid units, for each position of radiator sample is irradiated with sound wave in frequency range, overlapping set interval of frequency change, and recording the hydrophone of interference signals of irradiating and reflected sound wave samples, performing weighted summation of interference signals registered by hydrophone; reflection coefficient is determined from maximum and minimum of total interference signal.
EFFECT: increase in the measurements accuracy.
