FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing the acoustic properties of materials and can be used to measure the reflection coefficient of sound from a sample of material in laboratory conditions. The measurement method consists in the fact that a sample of the material is irradiated with a tonally pulsed acoustic signal, sequentially installing the emitter in the nodes of a flat lattice. For each position of the emitter, two hydrophones located on opposite sides of the lattice measure the complex amplitudes of the sound pressures of the direct wave of the emitter and the superposition of the direct wave of the emitter and the wave reflected by the sample. By complex weighted summation of the measured amplitudes, the amplitude of the sound pressure of a direct synthesized lattice wave with a flat front and the amplitude of the sound pressure of the synthesized wave reflected by the sample are obtained, the reflection coefficient is determined by the ratio of the amplitudes obtained.
EFFECT: reduction in the complexity and duration of the measuring experiment is achieved, as well as an increase in the accuracy of measuring the reflection coefficient.
