FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the testing of the acoustic properties of materials. Essence of the method lies in the fact that the reflection coefficient is calculated at a given frequency Based on the ratio between the amplitudes of the reference and reflected signals reflected by the surface under study, that are obtained by exciting the emitter with a tonal pulse. Reference signal is recorded in the absence of a signal reflected by the test surface. Reflected signal is obtained by subtracting the reference signal from the interference signal, which is recorded by positioning the emitter, the receiver and the surface under study the way the reflected signal of the examined surface is first by the time signal received with a receiver.
EFFECT: invention can be used to measure the frequency dependence of the reflection coefficient of sound from the surface in laboratory and in-situ conditions at various angles of incidence of the sound wave.
