FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for production of aluminium using a Hall-Héroult process. Cathodic current-conducting/connecting assembly contains a current-carrying rod from copper or copper alloy located under the carbon cathode and in direct electric contact with the carbon cathode. Current lead rod comprises one or two lead-out end part(s) extending outward to inner side or outer side of outer case of electrolytic cell to connector. Output terminal part(s) of current collector rod are electrically connected each in series to conductive element providing electrical connection to external bus, which provides electrical connection of current draw rod to external bus and contains flexible connecting strip, which is made of copper or copper alloy.
EFFECT: inventions allow simplifying a down conductor system, reducing heat flow, eliminating negative consequences in the form of low overvoltage.
