SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for catalytic hydrodechlorination of dichloroacetic acid, in which gaseous hydrogen is brought into contact with a liquid starting material, containing dichloroacetic acid and monochloroacetic acid to form a product stream comprising monochloroacetic acid and a waste gas stream containing hydrogen chloride and hydrogen, and wherein product stream is brought into contact with gaseous nitrogen in order to remove gaseous hydrogen present in product stream.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a cleaner product.
