FIELD: radar ranging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used in pulse-Doppler on-board radar station (OBRS) for selection of useful signal reflected from aerial target-carrier of radio intelligence station (ELINT), and effects on the main lobe of antenna pattern (AP) of signal-like interference with Doppler frequency modulation (SIDFM) of DRFM type (digital radio frequency memory). Method comprises forming first burst of high-frequency coherent sequence (HCS) of probing pulses (PP), their amplification by power, radiation in direction of air target – carrier of ELINT station together with SIDFM type DRFM, reception of reflected signals from air target – carrier of ELINT station together with SIDFM type DRFM, amplification thereof, conversion to intermediate frequencies, range selection and Doppler frequency, converting signals into a digital form with subsequent spectral analysis based on a fast Fourier transform algorithm, determining and storing the width of spectra of reflected signals from aerial target carrier ELINT station and SIDFM of DRFM type, generation and emission in direction of aerial target – carrier of station ELINT and SIDFM of second pack HCS PP, reception of reflected signals, amplification thereof, conversion to intermediate frequencies, selection thereof by distance and Doppler frequency, conversion of signals into digital form, with their subsequent spectral analysis based on fast Fourier transformation algorithm, determining and memorizing widths of spectra of reflected signals from air target – carrier of ELINT station and DRFM type SIDFM, comparison of spectral values of reflected signal spectra and decision on results of comparison that this signal spectrum belongs to its reflection directly from aerial target – carrier of station ELINT and SIDFM of DRFM type, on the basis of which the Doppler frequency of the useful signal is generated and its indication is carried out, or that the given signal spectrum is caused by the action of the SIDFM of DRFM type on the main lob AP and its indication is not carried out.

EFFECT: enabling selection of a useful signal reflected from an aerial target of an ELINT station carrier, and an impact on a main lobe AP SIDFM of the DRFM type.
