FIELD: radar ranging.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used to provide power concealment of operation for radiation of pulse-Doppler onboard radar stations (OBRS) of fighters during their group actions and detection of a group of enemy aircraft equipped with radio reconnaissance stations (ELINT). Method of functioning of pulse-Doppler OBRS system in group actions of fighters consists in the fact that in each i-th pulse-Doppler OBRS i-th fighter of group a high-frequency sequence of probing pulses is formed, performing their power amplification, radiation in the direction of a group of M enemy aircraft, each of which is equipped with an ELINT station, receiving, amplification, conversion of signals reflected from a group of enemy aircraft to intermediate frequencies, their selection according to range and Doppler frequency, conversion of signals into digital form with their subsequent spectral analysis. At that, all pulsed-Doppler OBRS N fighters of the group are combined into a single radar system with information exchange channels, and one of the fighters is selected as a fighter-leader. In OBRS of the fighter leader the required values of the controlled parameters of each i-th OBRS of each i-th fighter of the group are formed: average radiated power of transmitter i-th OBRS, time of irradiation of group of enemy aircraft equipped with ELINT stations, time of coherent accumulation of signal in receiver i-th OBRS, which are transmitted to each OBRS of each fighter. Further, the mismatch parameter is generated in control of each fighter aircraft in each OBRS between the required and current values of the controlled parameters, which are controlled until the error parameter in each OBRS of each fighter of the group is equal to zero.
EFFECT: providing power concealment of operation for radiation of pulse-Doppler OBRS of all fighters of a group with given probability when enemy planes equipped with ELINT stations are detected.
